   Prepare patient for examination

   Explain the procedure, transfer the patient to the ultrasound table, and position them properly.

   Operate ultrasound equipment

   Use the ultrasound equipment to produce and record images of the patient's organs and tissues.

   Adjust equipment settings

   Select appropriate equipment settings and adjust patient positions to obtain optimal imaging angles.

   Record and analyze findings

   Decide which images to include and provide a summary of technical findings to the physician.

   Maintain equipment and records

   Clean and check sonographic equipment, and maintain accurate patient records and sonographs.
